Sanders Ferry Living

Let’s make our great community even better

Why do we call Hendersonville “The City by the Lake” when we don’t make the most of the lake?

Let’s work together to change that!

The Sanders Ferry Living Plan is about more than improving one or two parcels; it is a plan of action to benefit the entire peninsula. This is our chance to bring to our neighborhood the attention and improvements we’ve seen in other parts of our town.

Improve Sanders Ferry Road

We all know the road needs work. It can look better and it can function better, but that work won’t be inexpensive. The Sanders Ferry Living Plan would provide funds to the City of Hendersonville for improvements to happen during this coming year.

Build the Greenway

Work on the long-planned greenway along the lake is expected to start later this year. The greenway will provide a safe and scenic route along a road that currently has no safe access for pedestrians or bicyclists. The Sanders Ferry Living Plan would provide funds to the City of Hendersonville to help cover the cost of this critical project.

Help Families Enjoy the Lake

We shouldn’t have to own a boat or a home on the lake to fully enjoy lakeshore living. The Sanders Ferry Plan improves everyone’s access to the lake and would provide ways for our neighbors to gather and our families to recreate.

Enhance Property Values

Millions of dollars of private investment will do away with a vacant storefront, a crumbling parking lot, and unattractive streetscape. Revitalizing the area while improving the road and public spaces will enhance the value of the neighborhood’s homes and businesses.

Provide Upscale Senior Living

Hendersonville is a community blessed with families across the generations. However, our community is lacking options for those of us who are older and are ready to downsize. The Sanders Ferry Living Plan provides much needed high-end options for our neighbors who are 55 and older.

THE SANDERS FERRY LIVING PLAN

addresses the current needs of our neighborhood, protects our property values and our community values, and uses private investment to increase our city’s revenue while minimizing the impact upon our city’s infrastructure.
